Gamefroot

For the past three weeks I have been learning how to code a game using Gamefroot.
I found it challenging to delete a fish I accidentally placed and I didn't know how to get rid of it. I also found it challenging to get the walking code because I had to do a lot of coding and it was a huge mess.
My digital learning object shows a game I made using Gamefroot.
Next ime I will change it because I can't get into the the cave house. If you push the door open it will just hit the wall in front and won't leave a gap big enouigh to get through.
Play my game here
What did you like about my game?
What suggestions do you have for me to improve it other than redoing the cave house?

June Reflection.

Today I made a reflection to show all of my goals and achievements for June. The reason we make these reflection newsletters is to reflect and sho all of the things that I have been learning through June in one blog post.  I like reflecting because it makes me think of everything I have done over the month and it makes me feel proud. Do you like to reflect on your work?

Financial Literacy

This week I was learning about Financal Literacy and how to make money and what you shoud spend it on. For the last 2 days Callum from the ASB Get Wise program came into our class to teach us how we can get money and what we shoud spend our money on. To make it easy he used this really cool trick called c.a.s.h.

Clear your mind from all the stuff that you want but will be a waste of money - also clear plan and money goal.

Action what are you going to do to make the amount of money you need for that prouduct.

Save the money that you have so you can get the thing that you want faster.

How long? think of how long you need to save for if you save too long it might not be a realistic goal.

and there is also away to make monye caled S.S.S this will make your C.A.S.H easier.

S.S.S stands for

Srtengths, think of what your good at, you shout try to make money by doing something that your good at this will make things much easier.

Solve any problems that might slow your business down.

Start your business!

I found it challenging to think of somthing I want but I dont need.

My digital learning object shows my C.A.S.H and S.S.S chart

matariki

This week I was learning to compare and contrast when you compare and contrast you font difrences and similarities.

I found it challenging to find similarities between matariki in maori and sabaru in japan.

My digital learning object shows the similarities and difrinses between matariki in maori, sabaru in japan, pleiades in greek and kiowa.

Next time I would change the similarities  between because the similarite was pretty obvious.

invitation

This week for writing I was learning to make an invitation to my parents for  my Student-Led Conference. A Student-Led Confrence is where my parents come into my classroom and I show them all my work and progress I have done this year.

In my invitation I had to make sure I had written who it's to, what its for, the dates for the Student-Led Confrence, how to book a time and who its from.

I enjoyed making my avatar because I found it challenging to make the avatar look like me.

My digital learning object shows my invitation I have made for my Mum and Dad.

Next time I would change how my avatar looks because it doesnt really look like me.

Here is the inside of the invition and the front which has my Tom Fedro art work on it.

Measurement

This week I was learning how to measure acurately. I found it challenging to find out where a metre is on my body. My digital learning object shows six different things I measured.

Here are those 6 things I mesured.

How does a plane fly?

This week I was learning to use complex sentences I found it challenging to add complex sentences My digital learning object shows a piece of whriting that shows how planes Next time I would add more complex sentences

How does a plane fly?

A plane is a powered flying vehicle with wings and they fly because the shape of the planes  wings it's shaped like that to optimise the speed on the runway and especially in the air

Firstly  because the shape is  aerodynamic, the air flows under the wing easily and  a very small amount  just flies on by on the top . when the plane has enough air under the wing  the plane  gets very light

Secondly the pilots will put the flaps down to hold more air under the wings so it's very light so light in fact that the whole plane lifts off the runway.

Lastly the plane will stay in the air because the air is denser and also there is a lot more air in the sky than there is on the ground.

so that's how planes fly. I hope you learned something from this.

The Labyrinth.

This week I was learning to infer. When you infer you get a question from in a story but there is no real answer in the text so you use the text to get closer until you get the answer. It's like you are looking for clues.

I found it challenging to think of why I disagre that Theseus is not a hero because he betrayed the princess.  My digital learning object shows a Labyrinth that Jacob A, James  and I built on slides together. I have also blogged our evaluate task where we put why we agree and disagree that theseius is a hero or not because he betrayed the princess.

Next time I would change the walls of the Labyrinth because they where just black and that was boring.

Here is the Labyrinth and evauate task.

Sketcking!

The past few week  I have been learning  how to sketch.

I found it challenging to make the fur because it is very hard  to make it look fluffy.

My learning object shows the cat I sketched.

Next time I would change the fur because it was to dark and close together so it looks like a thick black line going around the cat.

Here is my sketched cat.

Creating sprites with piskel!

This week I was learning how to make a sprite in piskel.

I found it challenging to animate the walking an animation because nothing I thought of worked.
